Chic Formals is a wedding and prom dress wholesaler. This site is truly a customized marvel. On the front end of the site, there is extensive use of CSS3 for styling and jQuery effects and animations. The site does not use any flash in order to make it easily accessible to search engine robots.
The back end of the site is where things get really impressive. The site is designed to pull product information from a PostgreSQL database. It is integrated with Adempiere (an Enterprise Resource Management or ERP software). This allows the business to keep their website constantly updated with their current inventory levels and prices since it is integrated with their ERP software. Since the company has a strategy to sell to e-tailers, the site also creates an easy to parse XML feed for online retailers to easily import into their shopping cart software.
The site is custom built from the ground up utilizing PHP and jQuery for the front-end.
