iFormals

iFormals is the place to go to find a used dress for less or to sell your old prom or wedding dress online. There are super low rates for a listing and lots of great deals to be found.

This site was developed for our sister companies, Formal Nites, LLC, and Chic Formals, LLC, in response to customer requests. We had many customers asking us, "How can we liquidate our old sample dresses?" Our answer to this questions was to create iFormals.

The site is developed using a templating system that utilizes the Model View Controller (MVC) methodology. All database queries are kept separate from business logic and the actual appearance of the site. The site also leans heavily on AJAX technology, providing an intuitive, fast user experience.

The site features a user rating system, user messaging system and allows users to make questions and comments on particular listing. It is integrated with several payment APIs to make transactions on the site run smoothly. For example, customer fees are charged with the Authorize.net API and payments between customers take place using the Paypal API.

The entire system was written by our staff from start to finish and is almost completely proprietary, in-house software (with the exception of some open source javascript libraries like jQuery and its plugins). This is a prime example of what we can do when it comes to a dynamic, user-driven, custom website.
